SOUTH AMERICA IMPLANTS GROUP PLAYED A LEADING ROLE AT THE XV INTERNATIONAL ARTHROSCOPY CONFERENCE HELD IN BUENOS AIRES. AT THE CONFERENCE, WHICH HAD A POSITIVE OUTCOME, SAI GROUP OFFICIALLY PRESENTED CONMED LINES OF PRODUCTS, ALONG WITH ITS OWN NEW PRODUCTS. CONMED, WHICH IS A GLOBAL MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY COMPANY, IS EXCLUSIVELY REPRESENTED IN ARGENTINA BY SAI.
From September 5 to 7 at Buenos Aires Hilton Hotel, SAI Group presented all its new lines of products in 5 booths and organized a live Knee and Shoulder Cadaveric Demonstration, with the participation of distinguished foreign visiting professors and Argentine renowned physicians, all of them accomplished healthcare professionals with the highest scientific level in the subject-matter.
The aim of SAI Group participation in this international Conference was to introduce Conmed products to the Argentine scientific community. With this goal in mind, various activities were organized to introduce these new lines of products and state-of-the-art cadaveric laboratories were held. Internationally renowned scientists attended the conference, which helped enhance the medical activity in Argentina.
Throughout the 3 day Conference, SAI Group organized academic talks, theoretical-practical workshops, surgical procedures and demonstration of products, including related instruments and their placement techniques, in 5 booths specially set up for the Conference.
CONMED product lines were presented for the first time in Argentina, in four of the five booths, namely: Floop technology for acromioclavicular joint, syndesmosis, shoulder instability, rotator cuff, knee, hand and small joints, along with disposable product lines: shavers, cannulas and radiofrequencies. Besides, all AS SPORT MEDICINE product lines were showcased in an exclusive booth.
On Thursday September 6 attendees watched two live surgeries organized by SAI Group and Conmed and broadcast live from Maimonides University to the Pacific Room of Buenos Aires Hilton Hotel. Shoulder and knee procedures were performed by Dr. Jeffrey Adams and Dr. Laurie Hiemstra, with the assistance of Argentine doctors and the coordination of Dr. Cristian Collazo.
